How to shoot with a Drone in Rio de Janeiro?

To film with a Drone in the city, it is necessary that the team be in possession of the relevant authorizations regarding airworthiness from ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency), ANATEL (National Telecommunications Agency), and DECEA (Department of Airspace Control).

The pilots must perform the approval of the remote piloting station with ANATEL and request the authorizations provided in the ANAC regulations, if any. With these consents, the drone operator must register in the SARPAS system (DECEA) and request authorization to use the airspace, attaching to the process the documentation issued by the aforementioned agencies (ANAC and ANATEL).

The deadlines for authorization with DECEA vary according to the characteristics of the intended operation, and can vary from 45 minutes to 18 days in advance of the day of shooting.

Recommendations

– not be operated over densely populated areas or close to crowds;

– not be operated with an audience present;

– has not operated overflights in areas near airfields without authorization;

– does not reach a height of more than 400 feet (121.92 meters) above the earth’s surface;

– do not fly over security areas
