Getúlio Vargas Municipal Memorial
The Getúlio Vargas Municipal Memorial is a tribute from the Rio de Janeiro City Hall to the former president Getúlio Vargas. Created in 2004, 50 years after his death, the facility is located in Luís de Camões Square, a place of civic demonstrations where the statesman was present. The Cultural Center is underground and its structure is connected to the monument located just above it.
The space also features a cafeteria and a multipurpose room for concerts, seminars, film festivals, and theater performances.
