The park located in Leblon was created in 1992, in a 39.55 hectare environmental preservation area. From the wooden decks it is possible to see some of the most important postcards of the city: Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, Botanical Garden, Corcovado and the beaches of Leblon and Ipanema.
It also offers toys, multi-sports courts, gardens, and sculptures, especially steel pieces designed by Oscar Niemeyer. There is also a 1.5km long trail that leads to the foot of the Morro Dois Irmãos (Dois Irmãos Hill), which can be hiked by beginners, with short uphill points. Hiking can occur along the entire trail, but bicycle use is restricted to the unit's paved paths.
