Casa do Pandeiro

Casa do Pandeiro is a cultural space dedicated to the pandeiro, an iconic instrument of Rio de Janeiro’s and Brazil’s musical culture.

Located in Rio de Janeiro’s historic downtown, it offers regular classes and workshops focused on percussion and Brazilian music, as well as musical events and instrument sales.

A permanent exhibition called Pandeiros of Brazil: History, Tradition, Innovation can be visited from Monday to Saturday, according to a weekly schedule.
