Laurinda Santos Lobo Cultural Center
The Laurinda Santos Lobo Municipal Cultural Center was created in 1979 upon the suggestion of a group of illustrious residents of Santa Teresa, led by theater director Paschoal Carlos Magno. The mansion was built in 1907 by the Baroness of Parina, and it was later purchased by General Pinheiro Machado, one of the most influential Brazilian politicians of the early 20th century, as a gift to his friend Joaquim Lima Pires Ferreira, a former senator of the Empire.
